OVERVIEW

This project is a part of a fashion business plan that I’ve worked on together with Sandro dela Peña, Vida Faustino, Rica Siena, and Zeilina Tandoc as final coursework for Fashion Design Line Development class in DLS-CSB.

The brief was to build a brand from the ground up — it involved fundamental business planning, market positioning, designing and merchandising initial collection,  up to promotions and marketing.

My responsibilities consisted of developing the brand image, photographing the lookbook, producing technical and CAD drawings, and leading the brand’s overall design direction.

THE BRAND

VESTIGE is a socially and environmentally sustainable brand that focuses on transforming waste textiles from various industries to produce contemporary clothing for women. It is an opposition to the trend and consumer-driven fast fashion.

THE INITIAL COLLECTION

Design Rationale

The CCP Complex serves as the reference point, as it is a prime example of a great design that transcends time. Key silhouettes are derived from the geometry of Brutalist architecture. Its sharp cuts and clean lines set it apart from the ordinary.

Color Story

The neutral hues — taupe, khaki, ocean blues and bright white represent tranquility in a distracted world we live in today. These almost uniform colors are the mainstays of a wardrobe that have stood the test of time.
